As part of the Boquete Canyon Village Club House Project, we were also contracted to build afire pit in the grounds as part of the landscaping overall.

We decided on a circular design, for the pit. There would be the actual pit in the center, with a permanent benches either side.

The grass was installed after we had marked out its final position.

I added a drain in the center that would run to the french drain we installed for the drainage of the main gardens.

For the outer ring, we installed a sismic beam, and then began blocking on top of that.

The bench bases were two walls of block. One at the front, one for the back. With the back continuing higher up, to form the back of the bench.

The seat part was poured, enforced concrete.

I designed a storage area under one of the benches so that the gas tank could be stored there.

The curved benches would eventually face the pit in the middle

I orientated the two benches to make the best of the views. One facing the direction of the Jaramillo mountain.

The other, looking towards chorcha and the pacific ocean.
