Entertainment Gazebo

In this post I will talk about an exterior gazebo I am building as part of a larger landscaping job.
Again, I must apologise for the lack of photos, I have always been very bad at taking progress photos of the work we do.

The gazebo was built with steel tube columns in the corners, set into some deep foundations and a seismic beam, on account of the occasional earthquakes.

The roof is made of c-channel supporting a concrete slab and the walls constructed of 4" concrete block. Arches were formed with M2.

The photos above and below show some of the electrical and water rough in work. The flexible blue conduit running down from the switch box above is for the flower bed lighting that is part of the rest of this project.

A drain and water feed were added so we can install a small sink here. The lower outlet in the picture above is for a small fridge to placed in this kitchen.

Some of the pipe work running from the back of the structure before being covered up by slab and tile is pictured above.

The following pictures were taken later on. As you can see, we have tiled the floor, and have begun tiling the walls.

Most of the kitchen structure has been built. For this kitchen I will install a concrete countertop, which will be discussed in a later post.

The ceiling structure is pictured below, awaiting wiring for lights. You will also see the top line of tile is awaiting this material, as it will be cut to fit under the finished edge of the ceiling.

A brick style trim was added around the base of the building.

The wall tiles have a kind of wood grain look, and will cover the entirety of the two walls, along with some sides of the kitchen base.

I will post more photos as we progress.
