Maintenance Shed

In this post, I share photos of a storage shed we are currently building.

The maintenance shed was required to hold the water system, which would mean water tanks, pressure pumps, pressure tanks & filter systems including UV.

The second part of the shed would be used for garden maintenance items and a sit on mower to take care of the large lot.

First we had to clear the area of an existing shed and mark out where the new building would go.

The column pedestals were poured with concrete.

The soil was hard digging as it is full of rocks

The sismic beams were formed up ready for concrete.

Here, all of the foundations are dug.

The steel structure quickly goes up.

And the seismic beams are poured

Blocking begins to infill the steel structure.

The front will be mostly door ways, so not much blocking is required here.

Eventually, the building will be covered with the same stone as the house.

The roof structure is a simple one, and goes up quickly.

The roof would eventually support spanish roof tiles, so would have to be strong.

Look out for future progress updates.
